I’m a Toronto-based portrait photographer, originally from Iraq. I immigrated to Canada with my family when I was 6 years old. My camera has taken me throughout Canada and the US. I believe that every person I work with has a distinct story, and I aim to capture it in an authentic and honest way.
Timeless and simple is how I define my style, and I want my work to resonate with people years after it was shot.
I particularly love working with athletes, as these shoots allow me to artistically elevate athletic forms. Since physical health is a big part of my life, working with athletes allows me to merge my passions in a creative and fulfilling way. I try to plan for everything before the actual shoot to ensure that everyone, from the crew to the models, are comfortable and ready to go. I strive to connect with my clients and make every shoot a personal experience, so that I can properly tell their stories. I make any scenario work, and I pride myself on that.
When it comes down to it, I capture the passion of all the people I work with.
